Recom Farmhouse's profile

BMW with Michael Schnabel

BMW designed their visionary iNEXT around the idea of a "Favourite Space", combining pleasure and practicality in new levels of style. The gradating copper sheet metal is complemented by a duotone interior with buff suede front seats and a blue woven jacquard design in the back row, featuring integrated "shy" technology that's out of sight in every sense. Touch sensible fibre optics are built into the fabric and wood panels, transmitting user input to the cockpit. Magically they illuminate when activated and disappear again when not in use.

Following these cues Michael Schnabel took the hi-tech concept car into an outdoor location with an otherworldly feel, blending the images with leafy shadows, water reflections and sun flares. During post production our Stuttgart team worked closely with the photographer and creatives Julia Obermeier and Antje List to attain the perfect balance. We developed a custom colour lookup table (LUT) to transfer the basic colour mood across the series and carefully merged all layers to enhance this dreamlike world. View more of this stunning campaign on our website.
